Hey! I'm Eloise, the face behind Simplicity Visuals.
When I was about 4, my beautiful Nana married a wonderful man named Kerry. He was a sign-writer by trade but also was a Family & Wedding photographer on the side. From the moment he walked into my life, he was always allowing me to play with his cameras and always told me he would teach me as I got older. Throughout school I was that girl that always had an Olympus compact camera in my hand; taking it to school, camps, friends house and families houses. Unfortunately, when I was around 12 he passed due to the dreaded C word, Cancer. I wish so bad that he was still here to joke with but also so I could have learnt from him.
After years of contemplating buying a DSLR, I finally bought one and started playing. I started following photographers on social media and stumbled across Melissa Jean Babies. OMG, if you don’t already follow her, I suggest you do now. Her images made me feel womens strength, it honestly gave me goose bumps. From there forward I had this love for Birth Photography and reached out to many photographers to see how I could start a career in not only photography but also Birth Photography
Fast forward a couple of years, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my first business, Simplicity Visuals. My images are documentary style and very much unposed, with no props. I love capturing people in the moment and portraying their connection throughout my images. I have a special love for Birth Photography, even just writing about Birth Photography gets me excited. I love the rawness of Birth, and being able to document it through my photos is an absolute privilege. I aim to normalise birth in the world and show people how beautiful birth can be.
